125 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Healthcare company Roche celebrated its 125 year anniversary with a syndicated live stream to discuss designs to inspire and stimulate fresh and diverse thinking.

Objectives.

To celebrate their 125th anniversary, Roche sponsored a special LifeTalk focused on improving access to healthcare. In addition to Christoph Franz, Roche Chairman the moderated live panel discussion featured Former BBC news anchor, Nisha Pillai, the Health Minister of Malaysia and rapper and Founding Member of the Black Eyed Peas, Dr. Ratna among its guests.

What we did.

As this was fully virtual event with guest panelists joining from across the world, Groovy Gecko was responsible for acquiring all the remote feeds into our hub in Old Street, creating a show feed which included live content, VT playouts and graphics pushes with the resulting programmed being syndicated to Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, & Linkedin live. In addition to streaming this programme to some of the largest social media platforms, we were also tasked with providing live Mandarin captioning on the YouTube stream to make it accessible to the Chinese audience. Using our multi language workflow which covers both captioning and audio translation, we are able to make content accessible to multiple regions and languages from the same source content.

The content has been watched by millions of viewers across the globe on the various social media channels it was streamed to. As of October 2022, the YouTube stream alone has had over 7 million live views on a channel with 50 thousand subscribers.
