online video platform.
Our Online Video Platform (OVP) is perfect for when you need reliable delivery of your live and on-demand video content to various devices. We work with you to define your specific requirements, so we can create a bespoke online platform that fulfils your video storage needs.
API’s and additional modules allow integration with a wide variety of existing Content Management Systems (CMS). This allows for Facebook integration, SharePoint and Moodle functionality, as well as the capability to set up an in-house corporate YouTube so employees can share their own content. Groovy Gecko work with other software partners to supply the ‘back end’ of our OVP platforms. We are very selective, and only work with the best and most established and trustworthy OVP providers. We use these suppliers for the base of our OVPs, to which we add bespoke elements, from end-user clipping to multi-language capabilities, to create the perfect solution for your organisation.
Groovy Gecko can make your OVP as simple or complex as you need. For example, we created an OVP for the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) that they could run by themselves on a day-to-day basis. For the RCP, we integrated a front-end platform into their existing main website, introduced paywall mechanisms and the ability to live stream, as well as implemented an automated captioning service that offered closed captions in multiple languages. Considering Facebook’s report that suggested 85% of video content is watch with the sound off, our multi-language subtitle capability can be highly beneficial for any brand looking for an OVP solution.
Groovy Gecko also offer enhanced services so we can help with streaming, production and set-up, or simply fill in the missing piece of the production jigsaw. From single camera shoots to multi camera broadcasts, we can supply specialist camera equipment, vision mixing, sound and multi skilled operators for both portable and truck-based solutions.
LiveU offers a solution where internet connectivity is limited onsite. Particularly useful for outside broadcasts, or those on the move, the unit works by bonding cellular data to create an upstream internet connection which transmits video content back to our London hub and can also act as a standalone internet connection in ‘data bridge’ mode.
